Our Training

Every purebred breed has it's traits, mixed breeds have a combination of traits. But each dog has one thing in common: It's own personality. We tailor each dogs training according to it's breed and personality. This ensures the best training possible and communication between you and your pet.

Training your dog is done on a one on one method. Your dog will be trained in a home environment with socialization with other dogs, cats and people. Your pet will be treated like one of the family. We train one dog at a time. Your pet will receive 100% attention 24 hours a day while he is staying with us. (If you have two dogs to be trained together we can make arrangements.)

Your pet will stay in my home for a 2 to 8 week period depending on the type of training. While your pet is here, your pet will be worked several times a day. At the end of the period you will receive handling and training lessons in my home and at your home when your pet returns in accordance with the training plan you choose.

The most important part of training is the owner. We put all the training into the dog and we pass the training and method to you. Your pet should work for you as well as us. Working your dog daily for 20 minutes will build a strong bond between you and your pet. There are to many times that people don't take the lessons seriously and neglect working the dog at home. In most cases the dog will NOT respond to the owner if the dog is not worked. It is a mistake to think the dog is trained and should work with out any at home practice. Absolutely your pet is part of your family but it still is a dog and needs reinforcement.

Training is a way to communicate with your dog. It lets your pet know what you expect of them. Our method is one of praise, motivation and correction. Although we do give dogs treats for being a good dog, we do not use treats as a method training. We want your pet to respond to you for praise, not food.

Upon the completion of the training. Your dog will have a lifetime guarantee. Should your pet regress we will evaluate your pets problem and set up more lesson's to correct the behavior.
